This is the sort of example (among others) that makes me think a French Networking Platform will never compete seriously at an international level.

LinkedIn already exists, holds most prominent decision makers in the world (including French ones) and has a much more user friendly interface. So why trying harder with a pale provincial copy? Honestly, how do you expect to convince the big guys to switch to Viadeo?

In essence, isn’t Viadeo’s true aim to target a niche of none-English speakers who want to do business between themselves? In fact, why doesn’t Viadeo push forward with it and provide special support for minority languages such as Breton, Corsican and Catalan as a way to build bridges between village communities?

Maybe I’m being unfair on Viadeo, which at least tries to be accessible to speakers of different languages (good on them), although, let&#039;s be realistic: nowadays does one not NEED to speak English to get a proper job anyway?</description>
