Kluster : at last a valuable social network ?

February 28th, 2008 · View Comments · Communities, Intranets & collaborative tools, Social Networking

Bored of useless social networks ? I feel the same but this note from Social Media retained my attention, mentioning a new network that seems to be different : Kluster.

I don’t know much about it, the project going to be unveiled at the next TED conference, but it seems this network is not about “diplomatic links” or buddy buddy relationship but about effective collaboration on real and defined projects.

People define projects, steps, rewards, those who are interested can help them achieving the project. Ideas are rated, people can bet on, and at the end the “local” currency (watts) can turn into real money.
It’s late and I didn’t have time to digg further tonight but it seems to me this social network has a real value proposal. I really like the fact the network is build upon collaboration and the community lives on effective and business oriented collaboration. That’s what business social network should be, no matter they are outside or within the enterpise.

I like their baseline : “what’s next” instead of “what’s new”. To be followed…
