Thank you Sameer.

We've always been working hard on a value-driven approach of E2.0 because that's what businesses are looking for, and that's what they need. More to come soon...

Really well done, Bertrand. If you're using such thinking in your work, we need to get BlueKiwi to the U.S., at TGV speed :)

You're helping set a high bar in the E2.0 blogosphere.

Yes. That's a good thing. I think that rethinking what E2.0 is really about (btw E2.0 is not a meaningful name for common people) is key for better implementation strategies.

True. Many misadoption issues didn't came from tools or change management or anything else. They were caused by the lack of understanding of what people were doing, why, and what for. Understanding that, what is a little bit like "knowing how to position a 2.0 implementation" favors approrpriation and makes things easier. It also helps to convince C-level people and bring tangible results.

Betrand,

What you are describing is the cultural process of appropriation or the psychological equivalent of assimilation.

Once the more adventurous early adopters have accommodated the new processes/technology the less adventurous and mainstream typically attempt to change (appropriate/assimilate) the new process/technology.

This generally happens when the new technology matures and itself becomes "mainstream"

So, in a sense this is the twilight of Enterprise 2.0 but Enterprise 2.0 is far from dead - its just being evolved.

Part of this trend is the involvement of enterprise 2.0 proponents in social aspects - Dion Hinchcliff for example has been writing and talking a lot about this recently.

It is a recognition that new tech has to fit with company culture - there has to be a dynamic in the application - both accommodation and assimilation

Betrand,

Couldn't agree more -- and I think those presentations about "socializing the value chain" have already begun.

Bertrand. Yes, yes, yes! That is me in the coffee shop faking it. The real climax will come when we see the business results generated by the e20-business process integration.

On my wish list for Santa this year? (Yes, still believe) Recruit an intern from a local university to give a light. human FR-ENG translation to your posts. You're one of the most brilliant writers out there on e20... make it easier for us to worship you.
