Rethinking information : one more paradigm shift

-

Connection people and information (and people via information)  are key in organizational performance in the knowledge economy. It’s important to understand that evend if a part of the informational capital, even a very small part, because of its founding nature, has to be stocked, carved on marble, all the rest, that’s been ofter neglected so faire, have an increasing importance.

Globally, the purpose is to consider that an ever increasing part of the information must be alive, considered as a flow and not as stocks, subject to evolution and not to crystalization.

Information is a flow and a malleable material, not a finished product.

It also force us to consider a new segmentation for knowledge.  I was recently told “so there’s no use learning since everything changes so quickly”… I won’t go that far. But we’ll have to understant that there are fundamentals everyone needs not master in ordrer to have the necessary basis to take part in the collective intelligence…and that the rest will be in perpetual evolution. With the consequences you can imagine on control and validation.
