About Bertrand Duperrin

Bertrand Duperrin is a recognized executive in digital, organizational, and managerial transformation. At the intersection of people, operations, and technology, he has held leadership positions where he managed operations, talent development, and organizational transformation.

He has led teams, business activities, and transformation programs while consistently linking human capital, operational efficiency, and the meaningful use of technology, convinced that these three dimensions cannot be addressed in isolation.

His career combines management responsibilities with an ongoing reflection on how structures and work practices evolve, which he shares on his blog.

He began his career in HR consulting, focusing on collaboration and leadership, before joining blueKiwi Software in 2006 at the very early stage of the company. There, he structured the consulting and services practice around enterprise social networking and led some of the very first projects of this kind in France, with an approach that combined product, usage, and organizational dimensions.

In 2010, he returned to consulting at Nextmodernity, where he became a director in 2012. He developed an offering centered on the Digital Workplace, new management models, and the Future of Work, with a consistent goal: understanding how technology could support evolving ways of working and managing.

In 2015, he joined Emakina, then the largest independent digital services company in Europe, later acquired by EPAM Systems. He first created a digital transformation consulting practice, then took responsibility for sales and delivery activities as Business Director. He later moved into internal leadership roles, taking charge of Employee Experience with a very operational vision: experience is not only what happens around work, but primarily what happens in the flow of work itself. He then went on to lead both operations and the People function. This unusual combination reflected his conviction that organizational performance is not built in parallel silos, but in the close alignment between operational excellence and the development of human capital.

His insights, which he has shared for over fifteen years on his blog duperrin.com, have earned him consistent recognition in the fields of management, work organization, and HR in the digital era. In 2007, his blog was awarded Best Blog on Intranets at Intracom Paris, and in 2016 it was named Best HR Blog by the ANDRH.

He was also recognized individually as Best Thought Leader at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference in Boston (2010), and was listed among the 100 people shaping digital in France by 01 Business & Technologies in 2012, and again in 2013 as one of the 100 people driving digital forward.

As an international speaker, he has been invited to address audiences at the Enterprise 2.0 Summit (Paris, Frankfurt), the Social Business Forum (Milan), the AIIM Leadership Council (London), HRTech Europe (Amsterdam), and Webcom(Montreal), among others.

He continues to publish his analyses and perspectives on duperrin.com, online for over twenty years. More than a news outlet, the blog has become a reference point thanks to its critical and forward-looking perspective, challenging dominant narratives, highlighting real-world practices, and putting organizational transformations into context.

Outside of his professional activities, he has a passion for travel, the airline industry, and hospitality. He is co-founder and co-author of the blog Travel Guys, dedicated to the travel experience.
